The Day London Stood Still-"Shameful Deceit"film premiere, an Amazing Turn out

Life the imminent nature of human existence. Sometimes so robust and sometimes so mean! that it becomes unbearable. Have you ever reached a crossroad of life? Or hit by a sudden panic of the unknown destiny that lies ahead of you? Or you are betrayed by the one and only trust in your life? If you have pondered on any of these questions or similar ones, if you are walking through life and something is missing, then SHAMEFUL DECEIT is a movie to be seen.
If Stars align such as Lanre Balogun and Theodora Ibekwe, Shameful Deceit will be the Blockbuster movie it should be. When I found a shiny dime after a screening, I knew the timing was perfect for me. Yes, there are fine performances by other actors and actresses such as Marie Gomez, Moji Bamtefa, Fatima Jabbe, Yvonne Hayes, Ikenna Obi and many others. Stars arrived in two Hummerzine Limos; All dressed to kill; the red carpet was full to the brim; it was more or less like a carnival. The earth shook; Odeon Cinema was glittering as men and women from all walks of life arrayed in their glory to watch the screening, Odeon Cinema for the first time was almost shot down, and yes indeed it was a night no one will ever forget in a hurry. The crowd was amazing.
It was Theodora’s day; it is her movie, an excited fan whispered to her friend – as the star alighted from the limo, dressed in a black and red bespoke design, tinted with smile and her ravishing look courtesy of her makeup artist and designer ( Libeks and Desiri ), indeed a friend whispered she is beautiful.
The thrill of this film, however, is for those of us who have been messed up or who have ever wrestled with guilt, and wondered why we did or do certain things, or driven ourselves crazy trying to figure out exactly who we are. Shameful Deceit gave us an answer. weldone  Theodora you broke the record in the history of  Nollywood premieres in UK and you have set a standard.

Shameful Deceit Movie Press conference Organised by My Trinity Magazine

As Africans, one of the first things, we've been taught is not to disgrace our family, at whatever cost. We grow up with that mentality and unfortunately this means a lot of things are swept under the carpet at home. We cling onto taboos and limit ourselves in educating lives on the controversial issue we refuse to acknowledge as most talk about. We'd rather hide things under the surface and fake a smile and pretend everything is okay so "my neighbour doesn't laugh at me."
I went to a screening of a new Nollywood movie Shameful Deceit and after briefly watching and speaking to the producers, cast and crew, etc. I whole heartedly applaud the whole crew on the storyline and the whole idea behind the movie.
African movies have a trend of imitation-no offence intended to anyone- but I personally find myself knowing how the story will unfold before it begins!
With shameful deceit, I was intrigued, shocked, interested and happy, even happy that issues like this are being exposed to our audiences, communities, people, and the world!
Finally, a movie with a message! Educational message! Not another love story!
The movie achieved its aim of raising awareness on controversial issues that we refuse to talk about because we're scared of what people will say and in most cases, the victims are made to believe that they are actually the offender, and it's their fault... The movie does a good job of erasing that theory and also advising victims of what they can do to get help if they find themselves in such situations...
Want a movie that's going to shock you and educate you? Are you  tired of watching love sick men and women and want to hear a silenced angle of our culture? How shameful can a deceit be? “Shameful deceit” a must watch film.
This movie was produced by Theodora Ibekwe and Directed by Ruke Amata,The London Premiere of this movie will take place on the 5th of July,2013@ the Odeon Cinema in Greenwich, Red carpet starts at 8pm.

Video: Girl Goes Half Nude For Iyanya at The Kukere Concert In Manchester

Click to watch Youtube Video

Iyanya got many female fans drooling when he passed through the UK for his album launch campaign, but he got one fan going the extra mile.
While in Manchester last night, a female fan was called up onstage to give a bootilicious dance over one of Iyanya's classical songs in front of multitudes of fans.
She did what she had to do but 'her dress was too short' so that when she bent down, everything at the bottom side was revealed, or did she intentionally make that happen?

MICHAEL Jackson's teenage daughter tried to commit suicide yesterday

                                             Jacko's daughter ... Paris Jackson
Paris Jackson in suicide attempt

Paris has tried to commit suicide, according to reports in the US.
The 15-year aspiring actress was reportedly stretchered out of her Californian home at 2am after what sources told reliable showbiz website TMZ.com it was a suicide attempt.
Her mum Debbie Rowe is said to have confirmed her daughter's suicide bid, saying Paris has "a lot going on" according to US telly show Entertainment Tonight
An emergency call was made at 1.27am and the caller allegedly said Paris had taken an overdose. A source linked to the emergency response also claimed she had cuts to her wrists.

Father figure ... Michael Jackson with Paris, left, and son Prince in 2002
On Tuesday night Paris posted some cryptic tweets.
She first wrote: "omg" before an hour later adding: "that conversation escalated quickly."
Two hours later she posted: "I wonder why tears are salty?" ... and a line from the famous Beatles song Yesterday: "yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay."

Paris - a cheerleader and budding football player - has recently begun developing a relationship with her birth mother Debbie, Michael's ex-wife, who gave up her custody rights to Paris and Prince following her divorce from the Thriller singer in 1999.
The Jackson family are currently embroiled in a high-profile court case after filing a wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoters AEG Live.
Michael's mother Katherine Jackson claims the promoters, who were behind the 50-date London residency he was preparing for at the time of his death in June 2009, were negligent in hiring disgraced physician Conrad Murray to supervise troubled Jacko's medical care.
Murray was convicted of manslaughter after delivering a lethal dose of Propofol which killed the superstar.

LONDON-BASED, ZAMBIAN-BORN, NIGERIAN DOCTOR WINS PRESTIGIOUS “MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER OF THE YEAR 2013” AWARD!

LONDON-BASED, ZAMBIAN-BORN, NIGERIAN DOCTOR WINS PRESTIGIOUS “MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER OF THE YEAR 2013” AWARD!

First Ever Medical Professional To Win The Award

Dr Kem (Nkem) Thompson, a General Practitioner based in North London, has just been awarded the ‘Motivational Speaker of The Year Award’ at the 2013 Women4Africa Awards which took place at the Kensington Town Hall

The Women 4 Africa Awards recognises and celebrates Outstanding UK-Based African women in various categories, whose efforts have positively impacted the community.

Dr Thompson was being recognized for her various Health-based Motivational talks that she delivered during the previous year in various communities, which each received rave reviews, with attendees asking for more. Audiences love Dr Kem's fresh, no-nonsense yet non-judgemental approach to the topics she covers, and they leave empowered with practical tools they can use to improve their health.

She is becoming widely known as “the” doctor to talk to if you wish to come off medication for such chronic illnesses as Diabetes (type 2) and Hypertension, and if you wish to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits to manage your weight safely. Her no-bull, down-to-earth approach gets her invited back for more presentations.

Dr Thompson’s passion is obvious when she speaks, and this is what keeps her audiences rivetted.

Accepting the speech in absentia, Dr Kem as she is fondly known, said “"I wish to first give all thanks and praise to my heavenly Father YAHUAH who has given me every good gift I possess. Thank you to everyone whose input has contributed to my winning this award, special mention to multiple awards winning Dayo Olomu for his unique role in the process. I'd like everyone here to know this: if you have a desire or dream in your heart, know that it's been put in there by your Maker, and with it, He's give you the ability to make it come true. So feed your dream, nurture it, go for it with all you've got - and at the right time, you WILL see the fruits of your efforts. You've got what it takes to make it and you WILL succeed if you don't give up! Thank you!”

Dr Kem is not your average medic. She’s also a prolific writer, having been published widely in both online and offline media, has published a book on inspirational principles for women, and is working on a health-related inspirational book at the moment. She walks her talk and overcame breast cancer in 2011 using the principles she is so passionate about sharing with her audiences.

She said: “I’m thrilled to have won this award. I hope it opens doors for me to reach a wider audience with my message of Positive Personal Proactive HealthCare (aka don’t just sit there, DO SOMETHING about your own health!), because from my day job, I see that it’s a message that’s sorely needed today.”
