The Day London Stood Still-"Shameful Deceit"film premiere, an Amazing Turn out
Life the imminent nature of human existence. Sometimes so robust and sometimes so mean! that it becomes unbearable. Have you ever reached a crossroad of life? Or hit by a sudden panic of the unknown destiny that lies ahead of you? Or you are betrayed by the one and only trust in your life? If you have pondered on any of these questions or similar ones, if you are walking through life and something is missing, then SHAMEFUL DECEIT is a movie to be seen.
If Stars align such as Lanre Balogun and Theodora Ibekwe, Shameful Deceit will be the Blockbuster movie it should be. When I found a shiny dime after a screening, I knew the timing was perfect for me. Yes, there are fine performances by other actors and actresses such as Marie Gomez, Moji Bamtefa, Fatima Jabbe, Yvonne Hayes, Ikenna Obi and many others. Stars arrived in two Hummerzine Limos; All dressed to kill; the red carpet was full to the brim; it was more or less like a carnival. The earth shook; Odeon Cinema was glittering as men and women from all walks of life arrayed in their glory to watch the screening, Odeon Cinema for the first time was almost shot down, and yes indeed it was a night no one will ever forget in a hurry. The crowd was amazing.
It was Theodora’s day; it is her movie, an excited fan whispered to her friend – as the star alighted from the limo, dressed in a black and red bespoke design, tinted with smile and her ravishing look courtesy of her makeup artist and designer ( Libeks and Desiri ), indeed a friend whispered she is beautiful.
The thrill of this film, however, is for those of us who have been messed up or who have ever wrestled with guilt, and wondered why we did or do certain things, or driven ourselves crazy trying to figure out exactly who we are. Shameful Deceit gave us an answer. weldone Theodora you broke the record in the history of Nollywood premieres in UK and you have set a standard.

Shameful Deceit Movie Press conference Organised by My Trinity Magazine
As
Africans, one of the first things, we've been taught is not to disgrace
our family, at whatever cost. We grow up with that mentality and
unfortunately this means a lot of things are swept under the carpet at
home. We cling onto taboos and limit ourselves in educating lives on the
controversial issue we refuse to acknowledge as most talk about. We'd
rather hide things under the surface and fake a smile and pretend
everything is okay so "my neighbour doesn't laugh at me."
I
went to a screening of a new Nollywood movie Shameful Deceit and after
briefly watching and speaking to the producers, cast and crew, etc. I
whole heartedly applaud the whole crew on the storyline and the whole
idea behind the movie.
African
movies have a trend of imitation-no offence intended to anyone- but I
personally find myself knowing how the story will unfold before it
begins!
With shameful deceit, I
was intrigued, shocked, interested and happy, even happy that issues
like this are being exposed to our audiences, communities, people, and
the world!
Finally, a movie with a message! Educational message! Not another love story!
The
movie achieved its aim of raising awareness on controversial issues
that we refuse to talk about because we're scared of what people will
say and in most cases, the victims are made to believe that they are
actually the offender, and it's their fault... The movie does a good job
of erasing that theory and also advising victims of what they can do to
get help if they find themselves in such situations...
Want
a movie that's going to shock you and educate you? Are you tired of
watching love sick men and women and want to hear a silenced angle of
our culture? How shameful can a deceit be? “Shameful deceit” a must
watch film.
This movie was
produced by Theodora Ibekwe and Directed by Ruke Amata,The London
Premiere of this movie will take place on the 5th of July,2013@ the
Odeon Cinema in Greenwich, Red carpet starts at 8pm.

Video: Girl Goes Half Nude For Iyanya at The Kukere Concert In Manchester
Click to watch Youtube Video
Iyanya got many female fans drooling when he passed through the UK for
his album launch campaign, but he got one fan going the extra mile.
While in Manchester last night, a female fan was called up onstage to give a bootilicious dance over one of Iyanya's classical songs in front of multitudes of fans.
She did what she had to do but 'her dress was too short' so that when she bent down, everything at the bottom side was revealed, or did she intentionally make that happen?
